  2. Official Lighting of the NEW "Spirit of Carefree" Christmas Tree under the Iconic Sundial

    The official Christmas in Carefree season starts at 5:00 p.m. in the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion with a performance by the Phoenix Boys Choir, a walk from the pavilion through the Gardens (with candles) up to the Sundial. The official lighting of the NEW 26' "Spirit of Carefree" Christmas tree will take place with music and fun then back to the pavilion for a holiday party to kick-off to the season!

  3. Jill Kimmel Comedy Show Tribute to Veterans

    Jill Kimmel is a mom, stand-up comedian, animal rescue activist, voiceover artist, and an actor and has traveled the world since the Spring of 2013 spending holidays and New Year’s Eve performing for our American troops. Selected by the Armed Forces Entertainment, she has traveled to bases in Germany, Spain, Egypt, Italy, Kosovo and many other countries. She’s a regular on Comedy Central, Jimmy Kimmel Live! (her brother) and you won’t want to miss her performance on the new upcoming fall show, “Hart in the City”, starring Kevin Hart.

    Ryan Sims was born and raised in Westfield, Indiana until the age of 16 when he moved to Arizona and attended Cactus Shadows High School. From the very beginning, Ryan had a passion for all elements of music and performing. Ryan’s talents developed quickly as he became a skilled, self-taught guitarist, singer and songwriter. Performer of the Year award at the LA Music/ Hollywood Fame Awards in 2007 and 2008. In 2009 Ryan snatched up Singer/Songwriter of the Year at the Phoenix Music Awards. Prompted by a phone call from Bret Michaels of the band Poison, Ryan participated as a contestant on the singing competition television series ‘The X Factor’ in 2011. Of the 200,000 hopeful musicians on ‘The X Factor’, Ryan made it to the final 32 before departing. Ryan’s success on ‘The X Factor’ paved his way to a writing position at the Song Factory in Nashville, Tennessee.

  8. Sand Sculpture Exhibit in Carefree Desert Gardens

    May 4, 2018, 9:00 AM - August 31, 2018, 7:00 PM @ Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion

    The Town of Carefree welcomed world renowned artist and sculptor, Ray Villafane, back to create sand art like no other within the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion, Carefree Desert Gardens. This 30 ton masterpiece of the Tortellini Brothers took 30 days to complete and will stayed preserved with a little water and glue lightly sprayed upon it's surface. The silt was sourced from the Arizona Salt River, filtered, mixed with water and tamped to provide a consistency worthy of sculpting.
