Village Center Redevelopment Plan

Hello Carefree Community,
For the past several months, the Town of Carefree has been editing the Village Center master Plan to incorporate the necessary elements to turn this document into an official Redevelopment Plan. The revised document, the Village Center Redevelopment Plan, is in final draft for recommendation and approval. The document has been through multiple edits. The scope of these edits did not fundamentally change the Vision or Goals, but addressed:
- The statutory requirements of a redevelopment plan
- Updated completed tasks or changes (like the hotel)
- Updated the market analysis
- Made implementation modifications based on input from the public, businesses, and property owners
Upcoming Dates:
December 12, 2022 - Planning & Zoning Meeting for recommendation
January 3, 2023 - Town Council Public Hearing
