As your Mayor, I know how vital a secure and sustainable water supply is to the health, economy and future of our community. That’s why I’ve joined a bipartisan group of leaders from across the state to launch the Coalition for Protecting Arizona’s Lifeline.
This Coalition is focused on defending Arizona’s share of the Colorado River and ensuring continued support for Central Arizona Project (CAP) – the 336-mile system that delivers Colorado River water to the majority of Arizona’s population.
Arizona cities have long been leaders in water conservation, reuse and innovation. But with rising threats to our water supply from drought, overuse and climate uncertainty, we must act together – now.
Through this Coalition, we’re joining forces to educate the public, advocate for smart policies and collaborate across regions and party lines to protect Arizona’s water future.
