On April 28, the Town Council held its second and final budget workshop, Financial Plan and Direction, focusing on key updates and refinements to the proposed Fiscal Year 2026–2027 budget. During the meeting, Town Administrator, Kristen Krey, highlighted changes made to the budget book, including a decrease in the operating budget and an increase in the capital budget.
This year’s budget also features new charts designed to better consolidate and present information in a clear, accessible way. Importantly, every element of the budget is directly aligned with the key focus areas outlined in the Council Strategic Plan, as approved by Council.
The next step in the process is the upcoming Town Council meeting on Tuesday, May 5 at 5 p.m. the agenda includes the approval of the Tentative Budget and Bottom-Line for FY 26-27 and request to hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 2.
