The 2026 General Election is three weeks away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026!
In the Primary Election, two Town Council candidates received the statutory majority of votes required to be elected, leaving one Councilmember seat to be decided in the General Election. Carefree residents will now vote between the two qualified candidates who received the highest number of votes in the Primary Election.
Early voting is underway, and ballots were mailed to voters by Maricopa County on October 7.
If you have not received a mail-in ballot, you may request one through October 23, via the Maricopa County website using the button below. If you plan to return your ballot by mail through USPS, it must be mailed by October 27.
Voters may cast their vote via mail-in ballots at designated drop boxes through Election Day. Due to limited availability of lockboxes in Maricopa County, the ballot drop-box at Carefree Town Hall (8 E. Sundial Circle) will be moved to the Town Council Chambers (33 Easy Street) on October 22.
