Budget Dashboard

At the May 6 Town Council meeting, the Council unanimously approved the Town’s tentative budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Key highlights include:

  • A structural surplus of at least $700,000 in the Town’s operating fund.

  • Continued investment in public safety programs and aging infrastructure accounting for 2/3rds of the Town’s anticipated $12.5 million in FY25/26 expenses.

  • Capital reserves remain at record highs, exceeding $15 million.

The Town is strategically managing these critical reserves, using best practices—particularly in its street maintenance program, which represents both its largest asset and financial liability.

Overall, the fiscal and physical health of the community is stronger than ever.
